The defining point of an SAPUI5 development is the OData gateway, which is responsible for the data communication. Because the SAPUI5 applications communicates with the back end side, by that channel.
Our development team has developed a gateway service based on dynamic foundations, called Dynamic OData Solution.
The applications – which built inside the Dynamic SAP Maintenance Tool environment – are communicating through that dynamic channel with the back end. Where the implemented logic on the newly developed layer uses the obtained data from the configuration settings to determine the data structure for each call.
What is the benefit with that?
→ allows easy connection to existing dynamic standard objects. For example: easy connection to the SPI Layer
→ allows to use deep structures (as much deep as we can)
→ faster application loading, as the whole view content can be sent by one back end call, it is not necessary to establish a connection with the back end one by one.
